OFFICERS are investigating a catalogue of frauds and attempted frauds involving fake £50 Royal Bank of Scotland notes.
On October 18 at 10.30am, two men entered the Co-op store in Central Avenue, Carlisle, selected items and then queued separately to pay.
The first man attempted to pay for a small amount of items using one of the notes, but was then challenged by a shop worker.
After being challenged, the note was taken back and both men left the store.
Officers believe they also attempted the same action at Pets at Home on the same day and at the Co-op on Blackwell Road the day before.
Police would like to speak to the men pictured, as part of the investigation.
Anyone with any information is asked to contact PC 2552 Smyth on 101.
