A Penrith couple jetted off to Barbados after a jam-packed wedding day surrounded by family and friends.

Husband and wife team Charlotte, 28, and Bradley decided to put their faith to find love in the dating app Bumble.

After signing up, the pair were matched together and after talking to each other, they arranged their first date at Kirkby Lonsdale in June 2019.

Two years later, Bradley, 31, a scheduler, knew he needed to put a ring on Charlotte’s finger and proposed in Chester on September 25, 2021.

After the engagement announcement, the pair were keen to celebrate with friends.

Charlotte, an artist said: "Bradley’s celebrations were in Düsseldorf in Germany, whereas I had my own celebrations in Chester."

Finally, Charlotte and Bradly's big day arrived as they married at Hidden River Barn in Carlisle on January 12, 2023.

Recalling the day, Charlotte said: "The whole day was perfect.

"Our favourite moment was standing at the altar, holding hands and smiling at one another whilst saying “I Do”.

"We were surrounded by our best man Andrew, ushers Mason and Nathan, my maid of Honour Natalie, and bridesmaid Lucy.

"They are all our best friends and was great to have them with us.

"The main features of the day were our ivory, black & wild greenery bespoke made by Free Range Floristry and we made sure to include a lot of music throughout the day.

"We had pianist, Tom Metcalf, during the ceremony, saxophonist Paul Palmer during the champagne reception, and The Sing Along Waiters during the wedding breakfast, followed by 24/7 Soul Band during the evening."

The couple stayed at Hidden Barn all day, where they and their 105 guests enjoyed their champagne reception followed by a wedding breakfast.

"After tasting our black wedding cake, which had handmade ivory icing florals and greenery, made by a talented family friend - we headed to the dance floor for our first dance which was 'You Send Me' by Aretha Franklin.

"It was a great day and we were glad to see friends and family.

"After the wedding, we jetted off to Barbados for a honeymoon."
