Nicky Adams says an attacking approach from home team Doncaster tonight could play into Carlisle United's hands.

The Blues have had to battle to overcome some stubborn visitors to Brunton Park in recent weeks.

But the in-form winger believes the onus on Doncaster to "have a go" at United could suit Keith Curle's side as they hit the road again.

Adams said: "We'll go there with our game plan and set out our stall.

"It can be hard for us [at home], teams come, sit behind the ball and try and frustrate us.

"Donny I think will have a go at us, and it's only the better for us."

While United remain unbeaten, Adams is on a remarkable sequence of his own.

The former Northampton man has yet to suffer a league defeat in 2016.

He believes he and Curle's side are in good shape to continue their recent exploits.

Adams said: "Everyone talks about it - if you're breaking records you're doing something right and hopefully [tonight] we can make it 10 unbeaten.

"It will be tough, but they are the best games to play in.

"There are a lot of big teams in this league but I think we're one of them. We're right in the mix.

"But we won't shout from the rooftops, we'll go about our business quietly, and just get on with it.

"We've got a great mix. Everyone can play, good characters. It will be tough, but they're the best games to play in."

Adams added: "Doncaster are a good side. I know a few of their players. John Marquis, the striker, is a good friend of mine and a real handful. He's got a massive head and I'll tell him that before the game!

"He's a good player, and they've got a lot of good players, but so have we, so it has the makings of a good game."
