FIFA 17 is released this week - and Carlisle United fans can now find out the player ratings of the team.

United's No 1 Mark Gillespie goes up one rating from the previous version of the game and is given a rating of 61.

Gillespie is three ratings ahead of Carlisle's other senior goalkeeper, New Zealand Under-23 international Max Crocombe, who is a 58.

Defender Tom Miller goes up two from his rating of 57 in FIFA 16.

Versatile defender David Atkinson is, interestingly, named as a centre-back by the team at EA Sports - he is a 58 and has a ratinf of 81 for jumping.

Michael Raynes is a 63 - but fellow centre-back Mark Ellis goes one better, with 64.

Newcastle United loanee Macaulay Gillesphey, who partnered Raynes in the centre of the Carlisle defender in Saturday's 1-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers, is perhaps slightly harshly rated as a 59.

Summer signing Shaun Brisley, who is slowly working his way back to full fitness after injury, is the only silver within the United defence - he is still a 66.

Captain Danny Grainger is a 63 and up two ratings from last season, while Patrick Brough is named as a left midfielder and is a 58.

Mike Jones, who has played largely as a holding midfield for Keith Curle's team since joining the Blues from Oldham, is named as a left winger and is rated a 67, with 90 acceleration within the game.

Fellow centre-midfield player Luke Joyce is a 59 and Jason Kennedy is a 64.

Russell Penn, currently on a one-month loan with National League side Gateshead, is rated a 60 and is awarded an impressive 91 for stamina.

Another summer signing in Joe McKee is given his first FIFA rating and is named as an attacking midfielder - the 23-year-old scores 61.

Former Wales Under-21 international Nicky Adams, who has been one of the brightest sparks for United so far this season, is named as a right midfielder and is a 66.

Jamie Devitt is also named a right-midfield man and scores 62, with 82 for agility.

Bermudian Reggie Lambe is yet another of the Blues' midfield named as a right midfielder, he is a 63, with an 81 sprint speed.

Carlisle's top scorer Charlie Wyke has been in impressive form at the start of this season and is rewarded by EA Sports with an improvement of two from his FIFA 16 rating, he is a 61, but strangely is only given a rating of 54 for his heading.

Fans favourite Jabo Ibehre is rated as 63 but is given 80 for stamina and 92 for strength.

Fellow striker Shaun Miller is also a 63 and is given a score of 84 for balance.

The rating of Derek Asamoah, currently back training with Carlisle, is not available within the free agent network in the game - he was 61 in FIFA 16.
