Kallum Higginbotham will become the fourth loan striker to join Carlisle United this season when he completes a three-month move from Huddersfield tomorrow.
The 23-year-old will join the squad for Saturday's clash with Coventry after agreeing a 93-day loan move which ends after the December 22 trip to Scunthorpe.
The Blues have confirmed Higginbotham's arrival after a long pursuit. Manager Greg Abbott has been tracking the pacy forward since the start of the season.
The United boss said: “Kallum is very versatile and he will add a lot to the squad.
“He is hungry to play football. He has been very unlucky not to be involved at Huddersfield and we are really looking forward to working with him.”
Higginbotham joined the Terriers from Falkirk in January after a spell with Rochdale, but has made only seven appearances for the Championship club.
He has been pencilled in for a wide attacking role with the Cumbrians as he joins a strikeforce already bolstered by loanees Joe Garner and Jake Jervis, with Michael O’Halloran having cut short his temporary move to Brunton Park last week.
United are hoping for confirmation that Higginbotham can play in next Wednesday’s Capital One Cup clash with Spurs, the forward having been an unused substitute for the Terriers in their first round defeat at Preston.
