A two-day beer festival kicks off today.
Workington RLFC’s ground, the Fibrus Stadium, will hold the Workington Beer Festival which starts today (Friday, May 17), from 7pm to 11.30pm.
There will be 18 real ales, three cask beers from Tractor Shed Brewery, 30 ciders, five gins form the Lakes gin distillery, and wine.
The event is run by Workington Rotary Club, and proceeds from the event will go towards supporting projects, both local and international, supported by them
On Saturday it starts at 12pm to 5pm, then again from 6pm to 11.30pm.
Keith Beattie, President of Workington Rotary Club said: "The beer festival has been the backbone of Workington Rotary Club's charity fundraising for several years now, it's a pity we missed out on Covid, this is our return in all our glory.”
