STRAND Street in Whitehaven has now reopened following a car accident.
The road by Argos was closed, and shuttle buses that were part of the Leyland event on the harbour were suspended.
There were emergency services, including the police and an ambulance on site who worked to clear the accident.
Traffic was diverting via Coach Road, causing delays due to the filtering cars.
