AN award-winning Edinburgh Festival regular will be bringing his one-man comedy show to Carlisle later this year.

A former winner of the BBC New Comedy Award, Steve Bugeja heads to the Old Fire Station on Friday November 2.

Following three critically acclaimed shows and direct from the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, the stand-up performer and comedy writer hits the road for his third and largest UK tour.

As seen on ITV2's Love Island: Aftersun, and Russell Howard's Stand Up Central on Comedy Central, Bugeja has also been making a name for himself internationally as he has been invited to perform at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival twice, appearing on both ABCTV’s Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow and on Comedy Up Late.

Following his big break in 2013, being recognised by the BBC as one of the most promising comics in the country, Bugeja has been a prolific writer for shows such as The Russell Howard Hour, Mock The Week and The Now Show.

This August will be his fifth run at the Edinburgh Fringe, starting out in 2014 hosting The Comedy Zone package show, taking his debut solo show, Day Release, there the following year.

In 2016, he took his hit show Unpronounceable, followed by last year's Summer Camp, and this time around he'll be performing his latest solo effort, Almost - which comes to Carlisle later in the year.

Steve Bugeja appears at the Old Fire Station on Friday November 2, and tickets are available from the venue, Carlisle Old Town Hall, and via www.skiddle.com now.
