“I am trying to change the culture at the club and make it a winning culture,” he explained after the 34-6 win against Doncaster.
“To do that, we have to be more consistent. The heavy defeat at York clearly wasn’t good enough and I demanded a reaction.
“The team responded positively. There were some very big performances out there, and that’s what I was looking for.
“I could name a number of players but the likes of James Newton, Jamie Doran and Jack Blagbrough all put in star performances.
“But that has to continue week-to-week. It’s no good losing with a poor performance and then winning with a good one.
“I want another good effort against Hemel on Sunday to put us in good heart for what will be a stiff test at Oldham the following week.”
Hemel Stags, who visit Derwent Park on Sunday, have won only one game all season and have been conceding, on average, nearly 50 points a game.
“It is important to prepare right for these games and treat teams like Hemel with the same respect you would do if you were playing one of the top teams like York,” added Pryce.
“We are still outside the play-off positions and everyone knows our aim is to be in there at the end of the season."
Four of the five teams above them in the table have better scoring differentials than Town, and that could be a deciding factor in the end.
In 13 games so far, Town have scored 421 points – roughly averaging 33 points a game. They have conceded 257, which is almost 20 points a game on average.
