Leon Pryce admits he's been surprised by how unrelenting life in League One can be.
Workington Town's boss is a veteran of the Super League and spoke after his side ground out a gripping 16-14 win in gruelling temperatures at Oldham on Sunday.
Pryce said: "This division is tough, competitive and unrelenting.
"Having spent all my time in Super League, I was quite shocked by how tough it was at first, but I'm starting to come to terms with it now.
"For starters, I know my best team and I feel sure we are making good progress."
He described Sunday's result as a "massive" win against a strong, physical, well-coached side.
