Steven Pressley has called for a repeat of Carlisle’s cup showing at Barnsley as they try to kick-start their league campaign tonight.

The Cumbrians go to Cheltenham aiming to bounce back from Saturday’s defeat to Mansfield.

Pressley believes the 3-0 Carabao Cup win at Oakwell last Tuesday is the benchmark for his side on the road.

He wants something similar at the Jonny-Rocks Stadium and said: “We want to obviously go to Cheltenham and give the type of performance we gave at Barnsley, and get back to winning ways – that’s very important.

“They are strong at home, they’re a good home team. It’s going to be a real test for us again. But we have to go there and try and win the game.”

United travelled to Gloucestershire yesterday having trained at Birmingham en route.

The Blues have won their last four encounters with the Robins without conceding.
