Carlisle United fell to a 2-0 home defeat to Notts County - how did we rate the players at Brunton Park?

HARRY LEWIS - 5

United's defending left him exposed for opener, then Robertson's finish was too good. First-half playing from back rarely convinced.

TERELL THOMAS - 4

When Carlisle needed to be at their most solid, they were opened up badly down the middle and the damage was done, Thomas at fault for the critical first goal.

SAM LAVELLE - 5

United's defending remains too open, too brittle, and Lavelle couldn't close down enough danger when it mattered.

JON MELLISH - 6

United's defending and passing from the back cost them in the first half. Mellish then injected some energy into their second-half improvement.

ARCHIE DAVIES - 5

Nearly helped open something up in the second half down the right but Carlisle, collectively, were on the back foot too much in crucial spell.

CAMERON HARPER - 6

One of United's better players on a bad night overall, and came closest to scoring when volley cracked the crossbar.

JOSH VELA - 5

As ever, industrious, but United's midfield when it mattered were outclassed by the Crowley-inspired Notts.

HARRISON BIGGINS - 6

In the thick of things as Carlisle tried in vain to stage a comeback, but in the first half their play in midfield never convinced.

JORDAN JONES - 6

Put in a cluster of good deliveries in both halves, and regularly put Notts on back foot after the break, but the decisive moment eluded Carlisle.

DOMINIC SADI - 5

Found some good early positions, and kept looking for the crucial gaps, but things didn't come off for the loanee this time.

LUKE ARMSTRONG - 5

Unable to make the most of Jones' best deliveries, and kept going but seldom looked like scoring.

Subs: Harrison Neal - 7 - Showed good appetite and control in second half improvement.

Charlie Wyke - 6 - In the mix for chances as United put late pressure on.

Star man - Jordan Jones - Quality of many of his deliveries were good, and he led United into their better spell of the game.
