Former Carlisle United attacker Gime Toure has found a new club in the National League.

The French player has joined Yeovil Town.

Toure, 28, was released by the Blues at the end of last season after two campaigns in Cumbria.

Now, after training with the Glovers this week, he has signed a permanent deal.

Manager Chris Hargreaves told the Yeovil website: "Gime has been training with us all week and has already shown why he can be such a threat at this level.

“He possesses both technical ability and natural athleticism which make him an extremely exciting attacking player.

“He is another strong addition to our squad."

Toure could make his debut against Wrexham on Saturday where he could come up against his former Carlisle team-mate Aaron Hayden.

His new team-mates, meanwhile, include former Blues defenders Max Hunt and Ben Richards-Everton.

The ex-Hartlepool man joined Carlisle in the summer of 2020 and went on to make 45 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.

He had a loan spell with Aldershot Town last season before injury ruled him out of action for several months.

He returned to make two sub appearances under Paul Simpson before the end of the campaign.
