Dutch side PSV Eindhoven have confirmed the signing of former Carlisle United star Jarrad Branthwaite.
The Everton defender has been in the Netherlands for talks over a loan move.
And Eredivisie outfit PSV have now sealed a season-long deal for 20-year-old Branthwaite, who has been in Eindhoven for a medical, and also visited PSV's training complex.
He also attended their friendly against Villareal on Saturday, ahead of today's announcement.
The move is set to give the Wigton star first-team football and the possibility of Champions League action.
Director of Football Affairs John de Jong said: "He is a player with a lot of height and he is physically strong. He has constructive qualities and is good at one-on-one situations."
Branthwaite himself told the PSV website: "I am happy to be able to join here. PSV is a very big club, which already feels like a family. The people make me feel welcome and the facilities are top notch. I can't wait to get started here."
A temporary move for the talented Cumbrian was on the cards after he was not included in Everton's pre-season trip to America.
Branthwaite had been linked with a number of Championship clubs but PSV - managed by former Manchester United striker Ruud van Nistelrooy - were the frontrunners.
Director of football at PSV is Marcel Brands, who formerly held that title at Everton, is said to have been a key figure in the move for Branthwaite.
It is a second loan spell in his time at Everton, Branthwaite having had a stint with Blackburn Rovers two seasons ago.
It could also mean Champions League experience for the Cumbrian, with PSV finishing runners-up in the Eredivisie last season, putting them in the third qualifying round of Europe's top club competition.
The former Carlisle United youth product has made 13 first-team appearances since joining the Toffees from Brunton Park in January 2020.
Last season he scored his first top-flight goal in Everton's 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
