Paul Simpson hopes Sonny Hilton can add an extra dimension to Carlisle United's attacking midfield play next season.

And a repeat of a few of these moments would certainly be welcome from the young Fulham loanee.

Hilton, the 21-year-old who has joined the Blues on a season-long loan, had an eyecatching season for Fulham's under-23s in 2021/22, scoring nine goals and contributing 12 assists.

Here are a few impressive moments from the former England youth player's campaign.

1. This strike is so good it seems wasted on an empty stadium. Hilton showcased his ball-striking ability from distance with this peach against Stoke.

2. A piece of close-range opportunism this time, against West Ham. Hilton is in the right place to pounce - a good quality, hopefully, in those congested League Two penalty areas...

3. Good work from a tight angle on this occasion, as Hilton sends a measured low shot into Wolves' net. Nicely done...

4. Some serious skill involved in this one, as Hilton runs at his man from the right then skims a delightful low curling shot into Sunderland's net.

5. Hilton also last year spent some time in Finland on loan with TPS Turku. Here's his first senior goal - another tidy finish from the right...

6. He can take a penalty too, which could be handy...
