Former Carlisle United striker Offrande Zanzala has seen his Barrow contract cancelled by mutual consent.

The 25-year-old swapped Brunton Park for Holker Street last summer, after scoring five times for the Blues during the 2020/21 season.

Signed by Chris Beech, Zanzala spent just half a season with the Cumbrians before turning down the offer of a new contract.

He subsequently joined the Bluebirds on a two-year-contract and made 27 appearances, netting five goals last season.

Zanzala joined Exeter City on loan in January and scored twice for the Grecians en route to promotion from League Two.

But he will now be on the lookout for a new club having parted company with Barrow, who recently appointed Pete Wild as their new manager.

A Barrow club statement said: "Offrande Zanzala has left the Club after an agreement was reached to cancel the remainder of his contract by mutual consent.

"The forward joined The Bluebirds last summer and went on to score five goals in 27 appearances before spending the second half of the campaign on loan at Exeter City.

"Everyone at the Club would like to thank him for his efforts whilst with Barrow and wish him every success in his future career."
