Annan Athletic will take on Queen of the South in one of their first games of the new season.
Peter Murphy's side were handed a game against the Dumfries outfit in the group stage of the Premier Sports Cup.
A short 25-mile trip awaits one of the sides for the game in the competition which acts as the curtain-raiser for the new season.
Annan were drawn into Group F, which will also see them take on Premiership side St Johnstone, who held onto their top-flight status in the play-offs.
Ayr United - Murphy's former club - from the Scottish Championship will also face the Galabankies, as will fellow League Two outfit Elgin City.
Fixture dates for the league cup encounters will be confirmed in due course.
The group stage runs from July 9-24, with the eight group winners and three best runners-up joined by Celtic, Rangers, Heart of Midlothian, Dundee United and Motherwell in the last 16 at the end of August.
