Carlisle United's Tristan Abrahams will tonight bid to help Grimsby Town move a step closer to a Football League return.

The Blues loan striker will be in the Mariners' squad for their National League play-off eliminator against Notts County.

Grimsby head to Meadow Lane hoping for a victory that will hand them a semi-final clash with Wrexham.

Abrahams has made 18 appearances - 12 from the bench - and scored four goals during his half-season loan from United.

Grimsby are hoping to make an immediate return to the EFL after last season's relegation.

The Blundell Park club finished sixth in the National League and now face the fifth-placed Magpies in a bid to progress.

Manager Paul Hurst told the BBC ahead of the encounter: "They're big games - games you want to be involved in."

FC Halifax Town face Chesterfield in the other eliminator tomorrow with the winners taking on Solihull Moors in the play-off semi-finals.
