Carlisle United's rivals Scunthorpe United have made a loan move for a teenage star who once stunned Manchester United.
Luke Matheson has joined the Iron from Wolverhampton Wanderers until the end of the season.
The 19-year-old is the former Rochdale prospect who memorably scored at Old Trafford in a League Cup tie in 2019 aged just 16.
The right-back signed for Wolves in 2020 and this will be a third loan move for the England Under-18 international, who has previously been out at Rochdale, Ipswich and Hamilton.
Keith Hill's Scunthorpe sit second bottom of League Two, six points behind the Blues.
Today they go to Exeter City, who this week signed ex-United striker Offrande Zanzala on loan from Barrow.
