CUOSC are keen to hear from fans concerned about the ‘behind the scenes’ situation at Brunton Park.

We were disappointed we were unable to give members a ‘face-to-face’ update following the postponement of last weekend’s home game with Bradford City.

We anticipated a good attendance at our members’ meeting following the recent Holdings Board and CUOSC statements and were looking forward to a healthy debate.

The meeting will now be held in the New Year and, in the meantime, we would welcome any new questions from both members and non-members.

We always believed fans would support our stance on not diluting our shareholding unless there was change of control in the boardroom and that has been supported by many of the responses we have received so far.

Now that we are no longer working under a confidentiality agreement we are trying to be as open and transparent as we can.

We have already answered a number of questions on our position which resulted in our regular email briefing to members being an informative read.

As a result of our statement we have also had a number of new members join and it would be great to have more.

If you would like to receive regular briefings, why not sign up to CUOSC. It costs £10 for adults for a year and £5 for juniors and senior citizens.

If you want to read the questions and answers so far or to join visit our website at www.cuosc.org.uk. If you have any questions send them to info@cuosc.org.uk

Unfortunately, our Christmas Foodbank collection planned for last weekend also had to be called off. It will now take place, all being well, before the home game with Rochdale on Boxing Day.

The collection is being held in conjunction with the club and everything collected will be handed over to Carlisle Foodbank who try to provide three days of emergency food for people in crisis.

The Blues will be expecting a bumper crowd so let’s make it a bumper collection as well.

The collection point will be the CUOSC supporters’ surgery in the Study Centre, next to the club shop between 11.30 and 12.30pm. Fans can also drop off items at the club’s ticket office until 3pm tomorrow (Friday).

The London Branch of CUSG has produced a commemorative t-shirt marking the 50th anniversary of Carlisle’s famous ‘Italian job’. The Blues beat AS Roma 3-2 in the Anglo-Italian Cup in 1972 to become the first English team to win in the Stadio Olimpico.

The shirt costs £17, including a £2 donation to the Alzheimer’s Society in respect to Blues legend Stan Bowles, a key player in the match.

You can order your shirt online at www.carlislelondonbranch.org or by email from chairman@carlislelondonbranch.org
