It was the first meeting between Cumbrian sides Carlisle United and Barrow in front of fans since 1964.
And renowned photographer Stuart Roy Clarke was at Brunton Park to capture the atmosphere of the day as supporters made their way to and from the ground.
Clarke, who has spent the last 31 years documenting the game, followed supporters whether arriving in Carlisle on the train, walking through the city, reaching the ground or leaving after the 0-0 draw.
Stuart, whose books include the Homes of Football and The Game, has kindly given the News & Star permission to publish his photos from the build up to and aftermath of first Cumbrian derby of the season.
