Carlisle United attacker Gime Toure has joined National League club Aldershot Town on loan.

The out-of-favour Blues man has linked up with the fith-tier strugglers for a month.

Toure's move comes after a spell when he has struggled for first-team involvement at Brunton Park.

He will now hope to kick-start his season with Mark Molesley's Shots, who are second bottom of non-league's top tier.

Carlisle caretaker manager Gavin Skelton said of the move: “This will be good for Gime because, like any player, he’s desperate to play.

“He’s been frustrated that he hasn’t been getting the game time he wants with us, and this provides an opportunity for him to get himself back out there.

“It’s one of those moves that benefits all parties, and hopefully he’ll go there, settle quickly and really start to push on again.”

Toure has made just five first-team appearances this season, in his second campaign at Brunton Park.

He was omitted from the squad that faced Newport on Tuesday night, with Skelton saying he had a back complaint.

Toure, 27, went to watch Oldham versus Walsall at Boundary Park that night, but has now dropped a division in search of first-team action.
