Seaton Rangers have announced head coach Matthew Tunstall has stepped down with immediate effect.

In a statement posted on Facebook, the club said:

"Our current open age head coach Matthew Tunstall has informed the rugby committee of his intention to stand down as head coach of Seaton open age with immediate effect due to work commitments that mean he can’t committ to continuing in his role with the club.

The last decade he’s been a colossus for the club as both a player and then a coach, a Seaton Rangers legend for all that he’s contributed to making the club what it is today.

Even more so than that he’s been an invaluable mate to all of us and someone we think the world of and he will leave a big void to fill.

We as a club genuinely can’t thank him enough for all that he’s done and I’m sure all the lads who’ve been lucky enough to come across Matthew as a team mate or coach feel the same.

The committee are now considering our options for coaching in 2022 and will make an announcement in the near future.

Thanks again for everything Tutty, we will be forever grateful for your contribution and your lasting legacy."
