Carlisle United head coach Chris Beech suggested the "big picture" needed to be kept in mind amid the Blues' slide to 19th.
The head coach was speaking after the 2-0 home defeat to Forest Green which saw criticism from fans increase.
Beech was asked by the News & Star why supporters should have any faith that a season of struggle does not now await the 16th-bottom Cumbrians.
