Carlisle United went down to a 2-1 defeat at Crawley on Saturday.

Here's what some of the Blue Army made of the game when they gave us their views on Twitter

A lifeless first half from both sides, absolute non event with an awful goal to concede by us (not a great day for the usually excellent Armer). The changes worked and we had something about us, deserved the goal - but once again another long range effort ends in our net. (@jpastalker)

No words really, the starting front 3 never works, awful watch on the whole, looks like another average season with us probably getting told 10th is success again (@KeithElliott94)

Two Saturdays on trot Beech has had to change things and produce better second halfs, so it's no use saying Abrahams not getting service. Beech has to look at way he's setting up for starting games. (@EricGreen866)

First half was dreadful viewing, no energy, no commitment, no life. Bypassing midfield with aimless long balls down the middle. Then when the three subs came on there was a bit of creativity, guile + nice passing kicked in. Praise to Jordan Gibson who was fantastic. The kid's got talent! (@shauncrowe_)

1st half hoof ball from both sides, awful. Made worse by an unnecessary error. Second half changes brought dividends, we looked better, passing the ball, injecting some pace and trickery. A deserved equaliser. Then we switch off and hand a poor side three points..note to CB - must do better. (@BruceVander)

First half was dreadful, three subs made a difference, but overall a poor showing from the team against an average Crawley side. So far I have seen nothing to suggest other than a mid table finish for us. (@peterjo91525330)

Awful tactics, wasting a reasonably talented squad. The last 35 mins against Salford last week showed us how good we can be when we play football. If Beech is going to persist with this long ball drivel, then count me out! (@Halpinforpope)

What do we expect with the least potent strike force I can remember for a long time. Abrahams is inexperienced with a modest scoring record, Young and Mampala unproven academy players and Alessandra has never been prolific. It was the one area we needed to strengthen. (@mlgraham73)

Shocking. Beech is a great coach, and has recruited some good players. But we have no shape, no strategy, no striker and no pace. I don't see a plan. Gibson put them on the back foot, but there is no threat anywhere else. Crawley were poor and we gave them the game. (@adydent67)

Negative set up from the start again. (@stansanczuk)

Last year I was buzzing the football on show was great to watch, sorry this year it’s awful to watch. Chris - fans want the ball on the floor, fast, quick, entertaining football. They certainly don’t want your statistics football...(@Ianblai16885520)

A very consistent performance. Consistently downhill since January (@2705TF)

Not sure where the enthusiasm is going to come from this season. I’m bored already - team looks decent on paper but we persist with launching it forwards to players who aren’t very good in the air. What’s the point? (@Matty_R93)
