Hensingham's under-16s kept up winning ways at home to Seaton Rangers' under-16s, but the visitors will take positives from a 50-16 win for the hosts.

With wins against under-16 sides from Kells, Wath Brow Hornets and Lowca already under their belts, the game started well for Hensingham with two successive knock-ons allowing the opportunity to mass just yards off the Seaton whitewash.

Seaton held firm against waves of pressure but, impressive though the effort was, eventually a determined Finn Kennedy broke through to score Hensingham's first try.

This was quickly followed by a piece of individual brilliance when Hensingham's Devan Sharp set up Scott Egan, who danced clear and ran in a try under the sticks, with Miller Dalton converting for the second time.

Seaton struggled with Egan's pace down the right wing and he went over twice more in quick succession, followed by a try from Logan Holgate who twisted his way down the right wing and over the line by the corner flag.

Seaton regrouped and began to give Hensingham a game and for five minutes applied their own pressure.

Effectively stringing passes together, a quick-thinking Jack Speight spotted a gap and ran in a try for the visitors, converted by Brandon Walker.

The final try of the first half came from Hensingham's Sharp, who sprinted clear and touched down.

With Dalton adding two more conversions for Hensingham, the score at half time was 32-6.

The second half was a far more balanced affair, with three tries for the hosts and two for the visitors.

Seaton captain Ellis Nixon charged through repeated challenges to touch down under the posts, with Walker adding the extras.

Hensingham replied with a Dalton try, followed by a chip-and-chase by Logan Holgate and then Dalton's second, picking up an offload from Sharp to touch down. Luca Hiddleston converted all three.

The final try came with Speight scoring his second and Seaton's third.
