There were more twists and turns in the Longhorn Junior Football as players continued the return to grassroots action.

In the Longhorn Trophies Under-17 league, Carlisle City trounced Dalston JBR to become joint table-toppers alongside Kingstown United in what is shaping up to be a tight contest to take the top prize in the division.

Warwick Wanderers, who remain in third place and still in the chase, performed well away to Abbeytown to gain a comfortable 4-1 victory over their opponents.

Carlisle City White were also 4-1 winners at home to Dalston JBR 2000.

There was only one fixture in the Longhorn Trophies Under-15 League but it was one worth watching as the clash turned out to be a nine-goal thriller involving Abbeytown and Warwick Wanderers Blue in which the home team ran out 5-4 winners.

Morton Manor remain undefeated since play resumed following the lockdown with maximum points at the head of the table, followed by Crown Newlaithes who are three points behind.

In the Carlisle Glass Longhorn Under-14 League there were big wins for Crown Newlaithes away to Dalston JBR and Crusaders at Harraby Catholic.

Stanwix were beaten 8-2 by Abbeytown while Northbank were 4-0 better than Warwick Wanderers.

Crusaders top the table, followed by Carlisle City Navy with three points less.

In the News & Star Under-13 League Carlisle City beat Carlisle Galaxy 9-2 and sit in second place behind Unisun Athletic with two games in hand.

Dalston JBR beat Crusaders Blue 5-2.

In the Advanced Paving Under-12 League there were high-scoring wins for Crusaders Blue versus Centurions Blue, Crusaders Red against Centurions White, Warwick Wanderers Reds against Carlisle Reivers, Pirelli versus Centurions White and Stanwix over Abbeytown Athletic.

Harraby Catholic scored six without reply away to Warwick Wanderers Blue.
