In what turned out to be the final weekend of West Cumbria Youth League action before the introduction of a second lockdown, young players took to pitches to battle weather conditions.

The Under-12 Division saw Whitehaven AFC Blue won 3-0 at home to Bransty Rangers, Workington Reds were 9-0 winners against Whitehaven Miners Social, Whitehaven AFC Yellow won 6-2 at Silloth, Cockermouth ran out 2-1 winners at Maryport Amateurs Red, St Bees beat visitors Cleator Moor Celtic 9-2 and Seaton Rovers won 4-2 at Seaton Athletic.

The only game in the girls’ Under-12 Blue Division saw a 5-3 win for Senhouse at home to Whitehaven AFC Yellow under-11s.

Whitehaven AFC beat Allerdale Tigers 1-0 in the Red Division and Cockermouth Blues drew 2-2 with Whitehaven AFC Blue under-11s.

In the Under-13 Division, Seaton United won 7-1 at Whitehaven AFC Blue, Workington Reds White got a walkover at Moor Row Red and Maryport Amateurs drew 0-0 with Dearham Rangers Orange.

Whitehaven Miners Social beat hosts Dearham Rangers Orange 8-1 in the Under-14 Division and Whitehaven AFC Blue drew 1-1 with Moor Row Black.

The girls’ division saw Workington Diamonds beat Senhouse 9-0, Whitehaven AFC get an 8-0 victory against Moor Row and Cockermouth pip Whitehaven AFC under-13s 1-0.

Seaton United won 9-0 against Seaton Athletic in the Under-15 Division while Senhouse got a walkover at Cockermouth United.

In the Under-16 Division, a 4-3 thriller went the way of Maryport Athletic at home to Windscale and Workington Rangers beat Dearham Rangers 4-0.

The Under-18 Division saw a 6-1 win for Maryport Athletic against visitors Cockermouth Panthers and a 2-0 victory for Workington Reds at Abbeytown.
