Former Carlisle United loan star Jack Sowerby has linked up with ex-Blues boss Keith Curle at Northamtpon.
The midfielder, who impressed during his spell with United in the 2018/19 campaign, has left Fleetwood to join the Cobblers permanently.
Northampton said they have paid an undisclosed fee for the 25-year-old, who has signed a two-year deal at the League One club.
United had kept tabs on Sowerby after his eyecatching 28-game, five-goal spell at Brunton Park, mostly under John Sheridan. But a return to Cumbria never materialised.
Curle, manager of the Blues from 2014-18, today said on the Northampton website: "Jack is a player who has been on our radar for some time.
"He is a dynamic, attacking midfield player who likes to get forward and has an eye for goal."
