Carlisle United could learn their fixtures for the new season next week.

The Blues are waiting to find out how their 2020/21 campaign will look and details could finally arrive soon.

It is expected that the new Premier League fixtures will be out next Friday, August 21, and it is being widely reported that the EFL is likely to follow at a similar stage.

League Two is set to get under way on September 12 while the Carabao Cup is expected to start the previous weekend. Draw details for the latter have yet to be revealed.

Early games in the new campaign will be played behind closed doors.

The final make-up of League Two has now been confirmed, with Macclesfield now relegated after an EFL appeal over their sanctions was upheld.

That gives Stevenage, who finished bottom of the curtailed 2019/20 table, a reprieve.
