Carlisle United are set to launch their latest kit this weekend – as they continue preparations for the new season.

It will be held at the Blues Store on Warwick Road over July 16, 17 and 18. And as a thank you to the club’s 2019/20 season ticket holders for their patience throughout lockdown, they will get the first opportunity to make a purchase in-person at the Blues Store between 4pm and 7pm on Thursday, with the general sale starting in-store from 10am on Friday.

Carlisle’s finance director Suzanne Kidd said: “Having prepared the kit for the launch I can honestly say that we once again have two very nice and striking designs.

“With the Covid-19 restrictions we’ve had to base the launch around the Blues Store this year, but I know our supporters will understand the reasoning behind that.

“We also felt it was important to acknowledge the patience and understanding which has been shown by last season’s season ticket holders, so we’re opening exclusively for them on Thursday evening to give them an opportunity to come along, see the kit and make their purchase.

“Social distancing guidelines will be in place for those who come along, so please listen to the directions and instructions given so that everybody can shop safely and quickly.”

Director of football David Holdsworth said: “It’s always an exciting few days for the club as we wait to see how the new kit will be received.

"ERREA did us proud last season, and we think they’ve excelled again with two very good designs.

“We took a lot of suggestions from the fans during the early stages of the process, and much of that feedback was incorporated in the final design, with the home shirt once again looking very striking... even though we all know what colour it is going to be.

“The away strip is fantastic, and it’s one I think will be a really positive subject of discussion for our fans.

"Hopefully both kits will get the thumbs up and we’ll see our fans wearing it around town and, fingers crossed, sooner rather than later on the terraces and in the stands as they cheer the lads on once again.”

Speaking about the new kit partnership, Fabrizio Taddei, head of the Pro Clubs Department with Errea, said: “We are all delighted at Errea that we are kit partners with Carlisle United and that we have such a famous name in our growing stable of EFL clubs.

“We have once again enjoyed working with club officials to design a unique range of products which we know the Carlisle fans will be proud to wear.

“It was good for us to involve the supporters in the design process of the home shirts as we believe they should be involved in such important team items.”
