Danny Grainger is ready to reshuffle his pack ahead of Workington’s home clash with Ossett United tonight (kick-off 7.45pm).

The two sides will meet at Borough Park for the second time in less than a month, following Reds’ 2-0 victory in the NPL West Division back on February 8.

This time around, the teams will lock horns in the third round of the Integro League Cup.

Workington’s confidence is high after Saturday’s 4-1 victory over Clitheroe in the league, and Grainger is keen to progress into the next round.

But he is expected to rotate his squad during a crucial period of the season.

“In terms of availability, we should be just about the same as Saturday,” he said. “We’re not expecting any absentees.

“We will have to make some changes, there are some tired legs in there (the dressing room).

“We’ll make sure the lads are freshened up and ready to go. We still want to win it and we’ll be prepared for the game.”

Grainger is hoping to welcome back Millinec Alli from injury for the visit of Ossett, a team which the manager will be giving the utmost respect.

He added: “We beat them the last time they were here, and this cup game was originally scheduled to take place just a few days later.

“It was postponed due to the weather, but they come back tonight and they’re a very capable team.”

It’s a busy week for the Reds, who are set to host Yorkshire side Brighouse in the league on Saturday.

It will be their third home fixture in seven days, and Grainger is hoping the weather remains fine.
