Danny Grainger insists his Workington Reds players will be ready to resume their promotion push at Droylsden tonight.

The Reds have endured a frustrating 10 days, with two successive postponements since they defeated Ossett United 2-0 in the NPL Division One North West on February 8.

But Grainger said the weather-related break should mean he has a fully fit squad to pick from.

“The important thing is that we keep preparing right for every game,” he said.

"The players are ready for Tuesday, and I would like to think we will have everyone fit for the match.

“We are looking forward to it.

"There is plenty of confidence in the camp, and to be honest that has been the case all season.”

The Reds are currently second in the league table, two points behind leaders Ramsbottom United, with a game in hand.

Tonight’s trip to fifth-bottom Droylsden provides them with an opportunity to put three more points on the board against a Droylsden side who are not mathematically safe from relegation.

“Every game is a pressure game,” said Grainger.

“Every team is fighting for something.

"We have to be aware of that and approach every game in the right manner.

“We’re looking forward to it.

"After a good performance against Ossett in the last game, of course the lads are keen to get back onto the pitch and are ready to give it their all.”
