Workington Town's Challenge Cup third round tie against West Bowling has been called off due to the impact of Storm Ciara.
Town were due to get their first competitive action of the season against the National Conference League Division One side at Derwent Park this afternoon.
But a club statement, issued this morning, confirmed a decision had been made to postpone the game, which will now have to be rearranged.
It read: "The safety of our spectators and players is paramount.
"With weather conditions predicted to worsen, and after advice from the ground safety officer and an RFL inspection, we have taken the decision to postpone today's match.
"Details of the rearranged fixture will be released in due course."
Severe weather and flood warnings are in place in West Cumbria, with strong winds and heavy rain battering the area.
