Ladies from Whitehaven Golf Club visited Eden Valley Hospice this week to present them with a cheque for £1,000 which was raised in memory of their friend and fellow golfer Ciara Walsh.
Ciara spent her final days in Eden Valley Hospice and the care both she and her family received was wonderful.
The Whitehaven ladies wanted to do something to thank the staff and to support this wonderful facility.
Lady captain Sue Thompson said: “Ciara was a valued member of our ladies’ section and this money, raised through donations and raffles at the club, is our way of saying thanks to the wonderful staff for giving Ciara and her family some peace during such a difficult time.”
