Wath Brow Hornets under-12s’ brilliant unbeaten season has been recognised at their end-of-season presentation.
The youngsters, under the guidance of Gary Clarke and Mark Cox, have not lost a game in league or cup fixtures.
The team’s commitment has contributed to their haul of trophies and they picked up the league title, League Cup, Top Four trophy and BARLA County Cup.
Former Super League player Rob Purdham and Whitehaven head coach Gary Charlton presented the prizes.
Bobby Hewertson and Tom Chambers shared the Most Improved Player award while the Man of Steel award for backs went to Jake Greenough and Jackson Benn and the forwards award was shared by Alfie Cox and Layton Dockray.
Harry Asquith was named Players’ Player of the Year and also picked up the Tommy Taylor Youth Player of the Year Memorial Trophy.
Charlton said the silverware on the team’s table said it all about their campaign.
