Ninety members played in Seascale Golf Club’s Wednesday’s Mixed Tee Stableford where Joe Doyle (6/9) won division one with 42pts, ahead of Steve Sharpe (6/8) and Louie Henderson (6/8).

Returning 39pts, Ray Teare (14/16) led division two with Stuart Burrows (10/13) and Ryan Lightfoot (13/15) both on 38. David Mellon (29/31) 44 beat Angus Russell (26) 41 to win division three with Ben Jacques (21/23) 39 third. Ten twos were returned.

In the four-person Team Stableford only 14 teams competed due to the weather. The winning team of Eric Temple, Craig Smith, Tim Parker and Colin Jackson won with 102 points beating Ian Fleming, Alan Homer, Stephen Fyfe and Gerald McCluskey by four points.

At the Annual Prizegiving club captain, Robert Temple presented trophies. The Claret Jug, for the 2019 Seascale Club Champion was presented to Craig Morrow. The Trophy for the 2019 County Matchplay Champion went to Simon Young who also returned the Best Scratch Score of the Year namely 66.

The captain thanked the competition team, the house and greens staff and Adam Lamb, club manager, for all their efforts.
