Workington Reds have lost midfielder Jordan Holt to Annan Athletic.
Holt has spent the past two years at Borough Park, initially on loan from Carlisle United then again following his release by the Blues.
He had been a regular with the Reds squad throughout the pre-season programme – featuring in the second half of the 7-2 win at Whitehaven AFC on Thursday – and was expected to start his third campaign with the club next month.
But he now looks set to make the switch to Scottish Ladbrokes League Two after informing manager Danny Grainger last night of his decision to leave.
A club statement said: "We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jordan for his efforts over the last two seasons and wish him the best of fortune for the next chapter of his career."
Holt made his Northern Premier League debut at home to Stafford Rangers in August 2017 and amassed 65 first team games, 50 of which were in the league, plus a further seventeen outings on the bench, scoring three goals in the process.
