England's Under-21s, including Cumbrian keeper Dean Henderson, ended their European Championship campaign with a 3-3 draw with Croatia.
Whitehaven-born Henderson, a former Carlisle United Academy player, conceded three times in the six-goal draw, with both sides already knocked out after two defeats before tonight's clash.
In San Marino, it was England who drew first blood with 11 minutes on the clock when 19-year-old Arsenal youngster Reiss Nelson slotted home from the penalty spot.
But the two teams went in level at the break after Josip Brekalo, of Bundesliga team Wolfsburg, equalised.
Shortly after the restart, England regained the lead when Leicester midfielder James Maddison smashed into the roof of the net, only for Croatia’s ex-Everton man Nikola Vlasic to curl in a first-time finish.
Then, 20 minutes from time, Everton full-back Jonjoe Kenny - set to spend the 2019/20 campaign on loan with Schalke - gave England the lead for the third time, but Brekalo then scored the sixth goal of the game, earning Croatia a point.
