Workington Town will return to Borough Park for the first time in over 30 years this Sunday as they welcome Coventry Bears.
Town did originally call Borough Park home from their formation in 1945 until 1956. So, in effect, the club is just returning to its former haunt this weekend.
The club has departed from Derwent Park for the game, as their ground is currently undergoing pitch improvement works that have been planned over the last year.
The work is to upgrade the playing surface and increase the available pitch size to accommodate FA requirements to allow the pitch to be used by football clubs including Workington Reds.
With this in mind, we have taken a look back through our archives to find pictures from past Workington Town games on Borough Park.
As well as a couple of gems from the 1940s and 50s we have also unearthed pictures from 1986 when Town headed to Borough Park to take on Wigan.
