Carlisle United have confirmed details of a city-centre launch event for their new kit later this month.

The Blues will unveil their 2019/20 home and away strips on the weekend of June 22-23.

New suppliers Errea will be bringing their truck into Carlisle which will be opened from 10am on both mornings, with replica kit available there for fans to view and buy.

It will be situated close to the Town Hall and Crown & Mitre Hotel.

The city-centre launch is a new initiative by the Blues.

It will also see the club's new strips available to fans much earlier than last season, when arrival of their kit from previous suppliers Umbro was delayed until after the start of the campaign.

United's director of football David Holdsworth said: "We’d like to thank Errea for helping us to launch the kit in the city centre in a way we’ve never done before.

"It’s exciting for us to be doing this and hopefully as many of our supporters as possible will be able to pop along to see and purchase the new kits.”

United have yet to reveal details of the new kit designs. Commercial manager Jenny Anderson said they will be "striking".

The Blues sought the opinions of supporters on various potential designs in a Blues Store initiative last season. They have pledged the eventual kits will reflect fans' views.

Errea say they hope to work with United "for many seasons to come".

Adult shirts will cost £39 and junior shirts £29. Season-ticket holders can claim a 10 per cent discount.

United are closing their Blues Store shop at Brunton Park from next Wednesday as staff prepare for the kit launch. It will reopen the following Monday.
