CONOR Tinnion will lead Workington Reds’ charge for promotion back to Evo-Stik Premier after re-signing and being named the club’s skipper.
The announcement was made at the Q&A session with manager Danny Grainger and Workington Town head coach Chris Thorman.
And Grainger also announced the return of Brad Carroll to his squad
Grainger said: “Conor is someone that shares my values on everything that needs to be in the community side of it.
“I think to re-sign Brad Carroll when he had an offer from two divisions above us, is excellent.”
The newly-appointed Workington Reds manager is excited for the future of the club, and added that last season’s skipper Gari Rowntree was as an asset to the club.
“We’re delighted to get Tinnion and Brad Carroll over the line this week,” said Grainger.
“Moving forward, we’ve got the likes of ‘Tinners’ and Gari who are massive in this area.
“It’s very important that this squad has a spine and support of local players.”
