Manager Steven Pressley is keen to bring in new Carlisle United players as soon as possible.
With the Blues yesterday releasing their retained and released list, only eight players are currently contracted to the club for the 2019/20 season.
That list includes 16-year-old Jarrad Branthwaite, Josh Dixon, Liam McCarron and Keighran Kerr who are all 18, alongside senior players Adam Collin, Macaulay Gillesphey, Kelvin Etuhu and Hallam Hope.
And Blues boss Pressley admits he would like to get some signings completed early in the summer window, having last week said he’d already met several potential new recruits.
Asked how quickly he would be looking to sign players at United after his side’s goalless draw at Yeovil, Pressley said: "It depends on negotiations.
"We have identified a number of players, we have spoken to a couple already, we are speaking to a few more soon.
"If negotiations are right and we are a suitable club for the potential player, I want to start bringing them in as soon as possible."
