Boss Steven Pressley admits he couldn’t believe the number of Carlisle United fans who made the huge trip to Yeovil for the Blues’ season-ending goalless draw.

A total of 368 away fans, including several in Elvis Pressley costumes - the namesake of United's manager - made the journey to Somerset for Saturday’s match.

“I actually couldn’t believe how many supporters were down here,” Pressley said.

“We left just after 9am on Friday and we didn’t arrive at our hotel until just after 7.30pm, so to follow this team takes enormous commitment. I can’t speak highly enough of the supporters because there were so many of them here, considering the travel. A big thank you to them.”

Adam Collin was in fine form and, on his keeper’s contribution, Pressley said: “He had been pretty much a spectator of the game until the last 20 minutes.

"But that’s a sign of a really good goalkeeper when their concentration is like that. When he hasn't been asked to make too many contributions to the game and then, all of a sudden, he’s asked to make a number [of saves] and he responded brilliantly.”
