Steven Pressley expects Yeovil’s relegated players “to be out to prove a point” when they face Carlisle United.

The Glovers are set to see their 16-year stint in the Football League come to an end this weekend, having had relegation confirmed after a 2-2 draw at Northampton last Saturday, with a group of Yeovil players and staff then going out on a night out that evening.

“They have received some severe criticism, both through the media and on social media from their own supporters. Now, that in itself should be their motivation,” said boss Pressley of the incident.

“Make no mistake, we are under no illusions that this will give them a determination to show their supporters that it does mean a lot to play for the club.

"I expect them to be out to prove a point so we have to be ready for that.”
