Carlisle United will be banking on Sol Campbell and Macclesfield doing them a massive favour in the play-off race tonight.
The Silkmen, bottom of League Two, host seventh-placed Exeter at Moss Rose.
Victory for the Grecians in their game in hand would take them above Forest Green in sixth place – and extend Carlisle’s gap to the play-off places back to three points.
United will hope Campbell’s side can instead extend a four-game unbeaten run and keep Exeter within the Cumbrians' reach.
Campbell’s side are a point adrift of safety so can escape the relegation zone with victory.
The former England, Spurs and Arsenal star said: “Exeter is a massive game for us, but we must ensure we have no fear.
“It’s still in our own hands but we have got to make sure we deliver and keep believing.”
Also in League Two tonight, Newport host Swindon with both sides hoping to make a late run into play-off contention.
Swindon will go level on points with Carlisle if they win, while the Welsh side could move to within two points of the Blues with a further game still in hand.
