Tickets are still available for a special event that will see Jimmy Glass relive his legendary goal - 20 years on.

The Carlisle United cult hero is back in the city next week and will take part in a question-and-answer evening at Brunton Park.

Goalkeeper Glass, whose injury-time goal against Plymouth on May 8, 1999 saved the Blues from relegation to non-league, will be joined by David Brightwell and Graham Anthony, who also played in the famous game.

Glass, who now works as player liaison officer for AFC Bournemouth, is also being filmed for a Sky Sports documentary to mark the goal’s 20th anniversary.

The ‘Evening with Jimmy Glass’ will be staged in Foxy’s Restaurant next Tuesday, March 26, from 7pm, hosted by BBC Radio Cumbria’s Mike Zeller.

Tickets are £5 and are available from United’s ticket office, or through the Carlisle United Supporters’ Groups through a CUSG rep or via Twitter @CarlisleUtdSG.

CUSG chair Simon Clarkson said: “The opportunity of having Jimmy in Carlisle was too big to miss.

"Despite being relatively short notice we felt that we could put together an event.

"It will be similar in format to the Legends evenings we’ve run before. It's sure to be a great night."
