Carlisle United manager Steven Pressley believes new Blues coach David Waldie will be a “perfect fit”.
The strength and conditioning coach - a former RAF fitness instructor - joined United this week.
Waldie, whose former clubs include Sheffield United and Lincoln, replaces Paddy Maher, who left Brunton Park last month.
Pressley said of the new man: “We’re really pleased to have him. He’s made a good impression on the group.
“I think he’s gonna be perfect. He’s a lad of real standards and has got some really good ideas that I think are very much on our own wavelength.
“Continuity’s really important. In terms of the training ground, it’s not a major issue, but in terms of data, prehab, gym work - he’s crucial to all those aspects.
“It’s really pleasing we’ve got somebody in so quick.”
