Egremont Rangers and Hensingham will go head to head this weekend in a charity game in memory of a former coach.

Saturday will see the second clash between the two clubs for the Jacky Davidson Memorial Trophy and it will be contested at Gillfoot Park, kicking off at 2.30pm.

Egremont are the current holders of the trophy but Hensingham will be travelling buoyed by the prospect of a National Conference League season looming for the first time, after the club 2was accepted into the league.

Although they will begin three divisions below their opponents, Hensingham will be confident of trying to create an upset.

Jacky Davidson was well respected at both clubs and also instrumental in the game as a whole. A great coach and motivator, both clubs are delighted that this game will be played as a yearly tribute.

Entry to the game will be £2, with OAP’s £1 and all funds will be split and go to support both clubs’ young stars of the future.

After the game there will be a presentation and raffle in the club and later that evening Rhythm Dead Lady will be performing, with donations for entry only.
