Dearham Rangers edged out Grassroad Sharks in an end-to-end encounter in the West Cumbria Youth League Under-12 blue division. The two sides battled it out with Dearham just taking the honours at the final whistle, claiming a 3-2 win.
Whitehaven AFC Blues remain in second place as they delivered a 9-2 victory over Seaton United.
There were two matches in the Under-12 red division where Moor Row Reds got the better of Workington Reds Whites, winning 2-1, and Workington Reds Juniors Blacks beat their own Red team 3-0.
In the Under-13 league, third-placed Windscale kept up the momentum with a 5-1 win at St Bees while Cockermouth United edged out Bransty 2-1. The remaining game at this level saw a convincing 9-0 win for Whitehaven AFC Blues over Workington Wolves.
There were plenty of goals in the Under-14 league as first played second when Workington Rangers headed to Whitehaven AFC but it was another win for the unbeaten leaders as Rangers recorded a 9-2 scoreline.
Cockermouth Cougars won a 10-goal thriller 6-4 against Dearham Rangers while St Bees picked up the points from a 4-2 win over Maryport Athletic. The final game saw Workington Reds Whites win 9-1 against their own Blacks side.
More big scores were on the cards in the Under-16 league but there was also one close encounter as Cockermouth Panthers Under-15s and Cleator Moor Celtic Under-15s drew 1-1.
Whitehaven AFC Under-15s beat Workington Reds Under-15s 9-4 while Workington Wanderers Whites Under-15s got the better of Cleator Moor Celtic 9-2.
Bransty beat Seaton Under-15s 8-3 and, in the last game, Workington Reds Blacks won 9-0 at Whitehaven AFC.
